“I wanted to create a platform and a project for the girls that’s going to be timeless and online and for everyone to see forever. It was an idea, in a way, for me to push the girls and motivate them to progress their riding harder than what they’ve ever done in the past.”

Those words from wakeboarding superstar Amber Wing laid out the mission statement, so to speak, for “Sets In Motion,” the game-changing women’s wakeboard series. The call to action was declared: “send us your footage!” Ten episodes later, new talent has been found and showcased, and women’s wakeboarding has finally been given a platform on which to shine. Now, the pinnacle of the project: the “Sets In Motion” Movie. Splicing together the best action from the series with plenty of new footage, the movie brings a fitting close to what should become the preeminent showcase for the women of wakeboarding.

First Love is about love, friendship and following your dreams.
This feature length film follows the lives of three passionate young girls from Phillip Island and documents their trip to Hawaii – the first step on their journey to making a career out of surfing.

17-year-old Jess Laing has grown up surfing with, and competing against, her two friends Nikki van Dijk and India Payne. They’re all sponsored, surf the same breaks and live within 10 minutes of each other. The girls are all different in their own ways, but one thing’s for sure, they all love the same thing.

But when Jess is injured everything changes. Her trip to Hawaii is replaced with surgery, recovery and rehab. It’s only her love of surfing that pulls her through.

Discover the trials and tribulations of training, competitions and injury whilst gaining an insight into life on the tour through the eyes of three girls. With magic footage and stellar photography, First Love will surprise, entertain and inspire a generation of female surfers.

Villa Villa Cola “Getting Nowhere Faster” (2004)

In the past ten years the subculture of skateboarding has become a mainstream attraction receiving unprecedented attention. Yet somehow, niches of highly talented skaters intrinsically connected to the richness of the artform and its potential for creative expression have remained largely unknown. Getting Nowhere Faster, the new skateboard video project by the notorious Villa Villa Cola squadron, brings to light the elusive and mysterious underworld of female skateboarders and their craft.

This cinematic pearl features peril & sass by the following experts: Vanessa Torres, Amy Caron, Elizabeth Nitu, Nugget, Faye Jaime, Alex White, Patiane Freitas, Stefanie Thomas, Lauren Mollica, Van Nguyen, Lauren Perkins, Lyn-z Adams Hawkins, Cara Beth Burnside, amongst many other shred getters.

This project features skateboarding never seen at a level such as this before-it’s a brand new recipe- with a dash of the following ingredients: a villianous cupcake, a motorcycle gang, an invisible cosmetic predator, a cowboy, and a fantasy skatepark called Tiffanyland.

Made entirely by female skateboarders, Getting Nowhere Faster is an authentic portrayal of these skaters and their unbridled talent and creativity. This project undoubtedly has the potential to be a landmark in skateboarding history.
