The first ever Women’s SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Championship went down this past weekend in Chicago, IL. The contest had 2 sections: runs and best trick. Lacey Baker was in the lead after putting together a flawless technical run but after each skater had 5 attempts at best trick, Leticia came out on top landing a 360 flip on her final try to bump Vanessa Torres to 2nd place. We headed to Element Skate Camp for Girls Week hosted by Skate Like a Girl's director Kristin Ebeling along with fellow Meow team riders Shari White and Vanessa Torres. A 4 hour drive from Los Angeles located on a private lake in the Sequoia National forest, Element camp has it all: skateboarding (5 different skate areas!) a lakeside launch ramp, swimming, boating, arts & crafts, beach parties and campfire hangouts every night.
