Nam-Chi Van is a skate and lifestyle photographer based in San Francisco, CA and has been shooting photos for MAHFIA.TV since 2014. She e-mailed me out of the blue and on a whim I invited her to come to X Games Austin with me. Luckily she is the type of person that learns quick and adapts to any situation with ease (shooting X Games as your first skate contest ain’t no cake walk but she killed it). Her passion for skateboarding has pushed her to become one of the top female photographers in the industry. As the photography market becomes more saturated, Nam-Chi continues to stay on top with her documentary style and post-processing techniques. When she’s not shooting photos, Nam-Chi is a full time engineer at Eventbrite (snap!). If you tune into her insta story, you’ll likely catch her at a live music show or getting ready to rip the streets of SF on her motorcycle. Nam-Chi is easily one of the most talented people I know and I’m excited to share more of our stories with you all. – Kim Woozy ABOUT “Real Talk” is a pilot series of live streamed Q&A Sessions with female leaders, makers and pioneers in the skateboarding community.
