Executive Director of Skate Like a Girl | Co-Founder of The Skate Witches | Meow Skateboards Team Rider
I first met Kristin 5 years ago. We hopped on the phone to chat about the work she was doing with Skate Like a Girl, a 510c3 non-profit that I was vaguely familiar with. Since then I’ve had the honor of collaborating with Kristin on everything from skate clinics and film premiere parties to global contests such as Wheels of Fortune and Girls Week at Element Camp — most recently working with her to expand the SF Bay Area Chapter of Skate Like a Girl. I continue to be inspired by who she is for others and the work ethic and selflessness she puts into everything that she does. Kristin makes me want to be a better person and expand what I’m capable of. It’s because of Kristin that I got re-inspired to skateboard, re-define a community and break through the limitations of what I thought was possible. Kristin is intelligent, hard-working, accountable, funny, compassionate, driven, self-less, creative and is who I look to, to define what is “cool”. Executive Director of Skate Like a Girl (Seattle, Portland and the SF Bay Area) and Co-founder of the Skate Witches (along with Shari White) is what you might see on paper and to me she is a talented skateboarder, teacher, musician, writer, advocate, leader and cultural game changer. If I had a magic wand, I would wish for the world to have more Kristin Ebelings in it. -Kim Woozy
