Last weekend, our friends at Specialized Women, headed up to Whistler, BC for the North American stop of the largest mountain biking festival in the world, Crankworx to host 2 events specifically for ladies of shred called “Let Her Rip.”
Friday the 19th of August marked Day 1 of the events organized to celebrate the launch of Specialized’s all-new female-specific trail bike, the Camber.
To sweeten the deal, raffle prizes were given out and some lucky women received brand new Specialized gear including the female specific Ambush Helmet, Cliplight 2FO shoes, Andorra Comp shorts and MTB Jerseys and tops.
At the end of the hour, smiles were all around and the stoke was high for Day Two—A ride, a skills session and the top raffle prize of a brand new bike from Specialized!
On the second and final day of Let Her Rip—Specialized’s launch event for their new female-specific bike, the Camber—more than 50 women showed up to learn some new skills and ride together.
Led by head coach Sylvie Allen and her team, the women were split into five groups before heading out to level-appropriate trails in the beautiful Emerald Forest and Valley areas. Through session-ing and encouragement, the riders took their newfound skills to the trails and conquered technical sections together.
Some ladies also got the opportunity to get acquainted with the Camber and discover just how much it elevated their ride.
Back at the booth, Specialized continued with their raffle draw and winners received helmets, shoes, gloves and jerseys. At the end of the afternoon, everyone walked away a winner with their new experiences, new skills, new friends and the anticipation of a new mountain bike adventure with the Specialized Camber.
